Cardiant is in the studio!

We started recording new material at studio Sound Supreme last Friday. We should be done by next Friday and we'll put some samples on Myspace in the beginning of April.
No diary this time but we'll upload some pictures during the recording sessions and they can be found here.

Two gigs and new material

We'll be putting up a show at Rocktown on 22nd of May and at Wanaja Festival on 18th of July.
There's also some new material under work and we are heading for the studio in March, stay tuned!
Line up change and a new song

Jarkko Mikkola and Cardiant part ways due to lack of time and problems caused by long distances. The whole band would like to thank Jarkko for his outstanding work for the band and wish him all the best for the future!
We already have recruited a new vocalist, Erik Karhatsu. We recorded three songs with him and one of them, Frozen Fire (from the Man Behind The Smile –EP), has been added to our MySpace -profile. Stay tuned, more to come!

The "Man Behind the Smile" -EP is out now! You can purchase your own copy from the Official Cardiant store or straight from us at the Rocktown gig.
The estimated showtime for us is sometime around 00:30. Doors open at 22:00 and the other band, "5150" starts at 23:30.

News & some updates on the site

The studio date is set! We are starting the recordings of the new EP on Friday 13th of June, luckily none of us appear to be superstitious ;) Anyhow, four new songs will be recorded and the EP should be ready somewhere in June/July. We are also going to put a studio diary online, this time for real...
The bass tracks for this EP will be played by Mikko, news about the permanent bass player will be announced later on.
Since we have received a lot of requests for some lyrics, we put up some of them on the Music -section.
A fresh start

Okay, finally it's here, new website and a statement of the situation at the moment.
Cardiant had significant problems with the lineup in the years 2006-2007 due to long distances between band members, lack of interest etc. It was time to take a new fresh start up.
The new line up:

- Mikko Mänttäri -bass,bv
- Marko Lindroos -keyb
- Late Hänninen -drums,bv

Allright, then we would like to share some thoughts about the future plans. We have rehearsed a lot lately, new songs has been made etc. and as a result we are heading to studio in June. . A lot of songs in a long period of time has been composed, so if the second album will someday see daylight, it should be a killer.
Finally we have put online some songs (or clips) you might haven't heard before, clips can be found on the Music page or by visiting our Myspace profile.

...and change the way of wind,
Almost one year has passed without any news since the year 2007 has been very guiet for us. The promotional release 2007 (including four new songs) was the only thing we have done this year and mainly it was more like a project, not a band. We have gone through (and probably will go through) some line-up changes and Cardiant will come back to life later this year.
So that you wouldn't forget our music, and to thank You for your constant support, here's a brand new song for you to download (featuring the session vocalist you might know),
